Seiko Men’s SNK809 Seiko 5
Although this Seiko model (SNK809 Seiko 5) is sporting a canvas band don’t get the wrong idea – it’s a very solid, accurate and altogether nice-looking piece.
Its movement is based on an automatic design too, which offers a low-cost yet precise (with 21 jewels inside) way to keep time. Additionally, since the watch is in fact powered by simply being worn on the person’s arm, it’s actually much more convenient and trustworthy than other models which might rely on batteries and so forth.
Having said this – it’s recommended that you wear it continuously in order to avoid having to constantly reset it.
The main focus of this particular watch seems to be a blend between style and comfort. Its Hardlex mineral crystal dial window is very scratch / ding resistant and completely waterproof as well (up to 30 meters in depth), with other features like luminosity, sweeping second hand, exhibition case back, and a date window (that can be formatted in English or Spanish) further sweetening the deal.
All in all, it’s a great oval / round shaped watch that’s perfect for a variety of applications, encapsulating everything from casual wear to even rugged outdoor treks.
Casio G-Shock Men’s DW9052-1V
Simply put, if you’re the type of guy that eschews traditional watches over more modernized digital types then Casio’s G-Shock DW9052-1V is definitely for you.
This quartz movement-based timepiece displays time via a digital interface and in truth, is probably about as accurate a watch as you can get for the money. There’s no worrying about winding here obviously and the mineral crystal dial window protects everything from damage and prevents scratches from cropping up as well.
Of course, the main selling point of this particular model is its impressive array of features, which include: water resistance (up to an amazing 200 meters in depth), alarm, date keeping, and its incredibly sturdy resin / stainless steel construction.
While the watch itself was more or less designed for everyday wear it also makes for an excellent choice if you’re going to be engaging in sportier activities and work as well. Some guys have even reported great results with this watch after several military deployments, so you know that it must be roadworthy.
The G-Shock Men’s DW9052-1V is basically a great all-purpose watch that’s both trustworthy, durable and strong enough to stand up to lots and lots of abuse.
Timex Men’s T5E231 Ironman
Timex has really produced a winner with the T5E231 Ironman, to make a long story short. This digital watch has exactly the right looks, features and comfort required to please nearly any guy out there who needs a dependable watch.
Its movement is quartz-based and naturally, that’s paired with a fairly large digital display (note* – the display actually covers quite a bit more territory than most watches in its class, which is a big benefit to say the least).
Everything’s protected by an acrylic crystal dial window that is also scratch / ding resistant too. Those that like to use their timepieces during exercise routines will also find the built-in 100-hour chronograph (with lap and split times, among other things) to be infinitely useful.
Simply put, it can pretty much measure and count whatever you need it to and that’s accessible via the side “mode” switch, of course. Also included is an illumination via the “indiglo” technology, which lights up the face in characteristic fashion. Moreover, it’s also water resistant up to a depth of around 100 meters, making it ideal for the outdoorsman.
Lastly, it looks rather fashionable and stylish while remaining very sturdy and solid.
U.S. Polo Sport Men’s US9061
The U.S. Polo Assn. Sport Men’s US9061 model watch (with a black strap) is a very interesting, sort of “hybridized” model that features quartz timekeeping in addition to digital and analog interfaces.
Rather than being a sort of either / or offering, the US9061 incorporates analog time display as well as digital date functionality for an altogether fresh design.
Overall, the watch retains a sort of compass-like character with lots of marks on it indicating various things. Additional features include a daily alarm, timer, back-light, day and date functions, and red second hand, which is very useful for timing various activities throughout the day.
Furthermore, you can add water resistance, multi-digital functions and even button-activated illumination to the list as well (which allows you to tell time in the dark). While there are certainly lots of intricate little details to point out about this specific piece, perhaps one of its most obvious and enduring characteristics is its design – which artfully juxtaposes silver tinges and tones with black matte.
As its name implies, it is in fact a sports watch, which means that it’s built to take some abuse, but it would be equally at home in more demanding social situations as well.
Invicta Men’s 15184SYB Pro Diver
To get straight to the point – Invicta’s 15184SYB Pro Diver Blue Dial Stainless Steel Watch not only looks fantastic, but it also does virtually everything else you’d need it to do.
It is a quartz movement watch that was built with divers in mind. Its facing, a flame fusion crystal material is also very resistant to scratches and other types of abuse, making it ideal for all occasions, regardless of how rough and tumble things will be.
The analog face with its crisp, dark and regal-looking blue backdrop features a date window (at around the 3 ‘o clock mark).
As expected, it is also water-resistant (up to 100 meters in depth) and comes with a neat-looking and useful latching padded yellow waterproof case as well.
Additional features include: luminosity, which allows you to tell time in completely dark conditions, and a unidirectional bezel.
However, the real draw of this timepiece remains its price, which basically offers you a wonderful value whilst not requiring any type of sacrifice in terms of features or looks. At a passing glance, one could easily mistake the 15184SYB Pro Diver for a much more expensive model.
