Omega Review

Omega reviewWhat’s a king who has no crown? We know in modern democracies, we don’t have such crowns and kings. But you can be the king of your world by wearing this work of art on your wrist.

This is Omega Seamaster. The name itself has the word “Master”. Jet black dial with silver and white colored white marking justifies the style and silver stainless band completes the upper-class factor.

It’s called Seamaster for the simple reason that it has water resistant depth of 984 feet. The kind of look this watch has can go with your power suit and casual denim look too!

Automatic “Movement”

Automatic self wind movement or Automatic quartz movement is widely used in watches these days. It’s the perfect amalgamation of Automatic and quartz technology.

In this movement, mainspring is wound automatically as a result of natural motion of the wearer’s arm, to provide energy to run the watch, making manual winding unnecessary. It removes the unnecessary tension of changing battery every now and then.

These watches generally gain or lose no more than a minute or two a year. Because they’re so accurate, quartz watches can time extremely short periods of time. So no chance of missing that power board room meeting!

“Dial” in style

Black dial with silver-tone hands and index hour markers shine like stars.

Hands are in sword style looks completely international. Minute markers around the outer rim differentiate it from other usual watches. You get the nerve of every second, so a separate red marking is given at the tip of second’s hand with this Omega watch.

Dial window is a separate story itself. Highly resistive material like sapphire has been used and that too with anti-reflection.

Sapphire crystals are much harder than mineral (glass) crystals, so they are not as easily scratched. Sapphire is rated 9 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, whereas glass is around 6 to 7, hardened steel and tungsten is 7.5 to 8, titanium is 6, and diamond is 10. Hence, it’s clear. It is so close to diamond in terms of the hardness.

Steel “Band”

The stainless steel case material is perfectly coordinated with a silver colored stainless steel band. This would give a feel and look of a fancy bracelet that can accentuate your power status.

The silver tone is not in your face, rather it’s kept subtle. All those who sweat a lot, it can be a boon for you. Unlike fabric or leather straps, it won’t get wet or sticky. Therefore steal the limelight with this steel body and band.
